When Purchasing from Safety Flooring UK website you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
While every effort will be made to ensure all items shown on the website are in stock no guarantee is given.
 
Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send a cheque by post together with a clear list of what you would like to order and the delivery address.  Please note the cheque will need to clear prior to order being processed.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

Goods are normally delivered between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday within 4 -5 working days of placing your order. 

Eligibility to Purchase Product

All products on the website are available for sale through the site to residents of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands only.

Please note the standard delivery charge relates to mainland UK deliveries only. Deliveries to areas such as Ireland, Isle of Wight, Scottish and Channel Islands can be accommodated however additional costs for delivery will apply. Please call in advance of placing your order.

We do not accept orders from or deliver products to individuals outside of this territory via the website. Please contact us if you require delivery outside this area.

In order to satisfy certain legal requirements and ensure that the delivery of the products can be made effectively and safely we need to be sure of certain pieces of information about you.

By placing an order through our site, you confirm and acknowledge that:

(a) You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and
(b) You are at least 18 years old;
(c) You are resident in the United Kingdom; and
(d) You are accessing our site from that country.

Our site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Goods listed on our site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our order confirmation procedures so that, where a product's correct price is less than our stated price we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Goods to you. If a product's correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Goods, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection.
 
Shipping And Handling It is the buyer's responsibility to check the goods for damage or wrong delivery before accepting delivery. No claim for damages or wrong delivery can be made if the carriers receipt is signed as goods received in good condition, signing for goods as 'Not Inspected' can not be accepted and shall be deemed as the goods being signed as in good condition. Any claim for damages or wrong delivery must be made to Safety Flooring UK in writing within 3 days of receipt of goods, failing which all claims shall be deemed to be waived and absolutely barred.

Deliveries are made to the 'kerb side'. The buyer must provide assistance unloading the goods and please be aware that flooring goods are often bulky and heavy. It is assumed that the delivery address will be accessible by a large lorry (40'-0"). It is the buyers responsibility to advise Safety Flooring UK of any restrictions, e.g. the road is subject to a vehicle weight or width limit, please inform us at the time of order.

The delivery vehicle must be able to park at the delivery address without committing a parking offence. If the customer knows of any parking restrictions or problems, they must be made known to Safety Flooring UK at the time of ordering. If the customer instructs the driver to park in a manner that results in a parking penalty being incurred payment of this will be the responsibility of the customer.

The person who placed the order will need to be at the delivery address to sign for the goods, the delivery slot is any time between 8am and 6pm. All goods must be signed for by a person over the age of 18.

If a delivery is attempted on an agreed delivery date and the driver is unable to gain vehicular access or the buyer (or their representative) is not present to receive the goods, the buyer will be liable for any redelivery costs incurred.
 
In installing or using any goods or equipment supplied by Safety Flooring UK the purchaser shall observe all instructions, directions and warnings issued by Safety Flooring UK or the manufacturer.
  
Delivery Schedule Whilst every effort will be made by Safety Flooring UK to ensure that the correct quantity and quality of goods are delivered within a timely manner to the buyer, we shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the goods within the estimated timescale. We recommend that you make arrangements for trade's people to carry out any required work on your behalf only after you have received the goods.
 
All cases of force majeure such as wars, riots, strikes, lockouts, bankruptcy, fire, water damage, delay in transport, lack of means of transport, breakdown in factories or those of our suppliers or any other unforeseeable events give us the right to postpone the fulfilment of the contract, as well as to cancel it partially or wholly without thereby conferring on the Buyer the right to claim damages against Safety Flooring UK or the manufacturers.
 
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
If you cancel your order after the goods have been dispatched from the manufacture / distributor you could be liable for restocking and/or transport costs.
 
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.
 
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
 
Guarantee Product guarantees are as offered by the manufactures.
 
Privacy Policy Safety Flooring UK does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy : Goods may be returned for whatever reason* subject to the buyer notifying Safety Flooring UK  in writing, within 7 days of receipt of the goods that they wish cancel the order. The goods will only be accepted for restocking if they are undamaged and in the original unopened packaging and a 30% handling charge is payable. The goods must be returned at the buyer's expense, via their chosen courier. Your refund will be paid within 30 days.
 
The colours of the products may vary slightly on the website due to limitations of browser software monitors so you are encouraged to request samples prior to order.

The goods can be heavy and prone to damage in transit, you are advised to suitably protect the goods and take out sufficient insurance to cover their value.

*This excludes goods that have manufactured specifically or cut to size for the customer.
 
When you return Goods to us in a condition which indicates that they have been used or attempted to be installed or erected after you have had a reasonable chance to inspect them, we will consider you to be in breach of your legal duty to take reasonable care of the goods and reserve the right to recover appropriate sums from you.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
 
Remittance Terms All trade account invoices are to be paid within 28 days of their date, unless some other terms have been specifically agreed in writing between the buyer and Safety Flooring UK. All overdue accounts will attract a charge of interest at the rate of 2% per month or part thereof. Safety Flooring UK reserves the right to withdraw credit facilities at any time and all outstanding monies will fall due for immediate payment. In the event that Court proceedings have been instigated, all costs relating to such proceedings will become the responsibility of the Buyer.

The ownership of the goods shall not pass to the Buyer until the Buyer has paid to Safety Flooring UK the whole price thereof and the price of any other outstanding sale. If, notwithstanding that the ownership of goods has not passed to the Buyer, the Buyer agrees that, prior to the payment of the whole price of the goods, Safety Flooring UK may, at any time enter upon the Buyer's premises and remove the goods there from and that the Buyer shall keep the goods separate and identifiable for this purpose. Notwithstanding that ownership of the goods shall not pass to the Buyer save as provided above, the goods shall be at the risk of the Buyer from the time of collection or delivery to him of the goods

Law The contract between Safety Flooring UK and the Buyer shall be deemed to have been made at the registered office of Safety Flooring UK a trading name of Meadee Flooring Ltd.
All contracts subject to these Conditions between the Buyer and Meadee Flooring Ltd, shall be subject to and interpreted in accordance with English law and the Buyer hereby agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of all claims, disputes or differences arising out of or in connection with any such contract.
